In his letter, P. Schönborn noted, he respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in accordance with the international norms. Furthermore, he noted, his visit was not on purpose saying that it cannot be considered as disrespect to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
P. Schönborn said: “ I am so sorry. My visit to the Azerbaijani lands occupied by Armenia doesn’t serve to the recognition of the so-called regime in the occupied lands.
I apologize to the Azerbaijani government and Azerbaijani people. Please accept my apologies. Furthermore, I assure you that I will not pay such kind of visits to the occupied lands in the future”.
The MFA reviewed the P. Schönborn’s letter and decided to remove his name from the blacklist.
