The organization stated that the channel will responsibly provide "extraordinary access to purchasing the most diverse representation of firearms in the world," for 34 million subscribers of the satellite TV.
Instead of delivering guns directly to consumers, however, they will be sent to a local firearms dealer, GunTV officials added.
Buyers will reportedly be required to fill out forms and go through necessary background checks at licensed dealers before being given their desired firearms.
One of the dealers contracted by the channel is Sports South, which is one of the oldest and largest gun sellers in the US.
GunTV co-founder Valerie Castle said the channel would meet existing demand while offering more education and information. She was unsure if the network will help curb the widespread issue of gun violence.
"I don`t really know that it`s going to put more guns on the streets," Castle told The Guardian newspaper.
The news comes amid concerns surrounding the rising trend of gun violence in America, of which the Wednesday mass shooting in California that left 14 people dead, is a prime example.
In reaction to the incident and the upward trend of violent shootings in the US, President Barack Obama doubled down on his previous calls for tighter gun control laws, arguing that mass shootings in America have “no parallel” across the globe.
His calls, however, took a severe blow on Friday when the Senate rejected a proposal to expand background checks for gun purchases online and at gun shows.
