Georgia offers to create Regional Energy Network in South Caucasus
First Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia Kakha Kaladze offered to create Regional Energy Network with the membership of Georgia, Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Kaladze noted that as a result of the dissolution of the USSR and subsequent events, the energy system of the South Caucasus underwent negative impacts.

“I think it would be reasonable to create regional energy network with the membership of Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and other countries. Taking into account the existing and future projects we can say that Georgia will play the role of important bridge in the energy exchange of the South Caucasus and contribute to sale of the energy”, Kaladze added.
