Special headquarters on Azerbaijani offshore platform fire holds meeting
A special headquarters, created in connection with the recent fire on a platform at SOCAR
Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kemaledin Heydarov, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev, Chief of the State Border Guard Service, Colonel General Elchin Guliyev discussed the issues related the progress of the rescue-and-search operation.

Dead bodies of six oil workers missing after the fire at SOCAR’s offshore platform have already been recovered.

Work is underway on fire-fighting and rescuing those missing.

A strong fire broke out at the platform No.10 of Azerbaijan’s offshore Guneshli field on Dec.4 at 17:40 (UTC/GMT +4 hours).
