Footage of search for oilmen missing after offshore field accident - VIDEO

Azerbaijan"s Ministry of Emergency Situations has released footage of the search operation for the oilmen who went missing after the accident on a platform at the offshore field Gunashli.

The footage filmed on Dec.7 shows rescuers lifting the dead bodies of the missing oilmen up to the helicopter.

A massive blaze broke out on the platform #10 at the offshore oil field “Gunashli” on Dec.4 at 17:40 (UTC/GMT + 4 hours).

It is said there were 63 people on the platform when the fire broke out.

As a consequence, two oilmen were killed, 29 went missing. Of the missing, the bodies of six were found on Dec.7, while the search operation is till underway for the remaining 23 people.
