According to Articles 14.3 (in the following cases, legal entities and individuals are disallowed to import tobacco and tobacco products) and 15.3 (the import and sales of tobacco and tobacco products are prohibited in the following cases) of the law, a new item (when produced by using tobacco and tobacco products genetically modified or agricultural plants grown by biotech or gene engineering methods) is expected to be added to the bans regarding the imports and sales of tobacco and tobacco products.
The draft law has been recommended to the parliament’s plenary session and will be tabled on December 18.
