Partners` expenses on energy projects reach almost $ 1 bln in Azerbaijan in 2014
The expenses for the execution of contracts and orders as part of the projects operated by the British company BP in Azerbaijan amounted to $969 million in January-June 2014 compared to 1.02 billion in January-June 2013, according to BP report as of January-June 2014.

The expenses for the contracts of small and medium enterprises (including physical entities, a total of 180) amounted to $378 million, state-owned companies (27 companies) - $ 65 million, joint ventures with local partners (13 joint ventures) - $240 million, according to the report.

The expenses of foreign contractors amounted to $ 286 million in the country in the first half of the year.

During the first half of the year, BP and co-venturers spent $1.24 million in Azerbaijan alone on such sustainable development projects.

In particular, expenses as part of Azerbaijan`s offshore "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" field development project totaled $0.19 million, Shah Deniz gas-condensate field - $0.19 million, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines - $ 0.4 million.
BP, which is a participant in all these energy projects, spent $0.46 million as part of its social projects.
