Trump Towers Istanbul condemns calls to ban Muslims
The general manager of Trump Towers in Istanbul says the company is "assessing" its partnership with Donald Trump following his calls to ban Muslims from entering the United States.
In a statement released late Thursday, Bulent Kural said the company "regrets and condemns" the Republican presidential front-runner`s call, issued in the aftermath of attacks in the country and elsewhere.

The statement accused Trump of either failing to understand Islam or of exploiting the religion for "small political calculations."

Trump does not own the Trump Towers mall, offices and residences in Istanbul but has licensed the brand under a partnership.

The statement said: "We are assessing the legal dimension of our relationship with the Trump brand."
