Mutual sanctions of Russia and West to have negative impact on EEU - Kazakh President
Mutual sanctions of Russia and Western countries will have a negative impact on the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev says.

"Sanctions, restrictions will not directly affect Kazakhstan," he thinks. "Of course, there will be negative effects of the economic union [EEU] due to the sanctions imposed by Western countries against Russia," Nazarbayev says. "One thing is sanctions against individuals, and the other thing is sanctions against the financial sector, individual sectors of the economy and this will worsen the economy of Russia," the president concluded in an interview to "Khabar".

He added that Kazakhstan`s farmers need to take actions, in particular, to produce and sell goods in Russia, including vegetables, meat and milk.

"To tell you the truth, it is an unexpected difficulty. Who thought that this could happen to Russia and Ukraine! One language, one faith ... Whatever the war is there in the world, it always ends with negotiations, with peace. And this one will end, too. Time is a great force that puts everything in its place," Nazarbayev said.
