Azerbaijan has been included into the category of countries with high human development, says the new United Nations Human Development Report released today.

Georgia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Armenia ranked the 76th, 78th, 81st, 85th places respectively.

Moldova, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan have also taken places in this category.

According to the report, Norway, Australia, Switzerland, Denmark and the Netherlands ranked in the top five.

The report has been developed taking into account factors such as the quality of life in various countries, social protection, health, education, cultural values, crime levels, environmental protection, and people’s participation in decision-making.

Thanks to achievements gained in health, education and poverty reduction, the number of people living in the low-life reduced by 2 bln in the last 25 years.
