No change in drug trafficking routes through Azerbaijan - State Commission
There is no change in the trafficking routes of drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors through Azerbaijan, said Fagan Shahverdiyev, head of the working group under the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking.
Shahverdiyev said that the State Commission will provide information in case of any changes in these routes.

According to the official website of the State Commission, as a result of operations conducted to prevent illicit drug trafficking and smuggling, it was revealed that transnational organized crimes are smuggling drugs through Iran-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh-Iran-Azerbaijan, Iran-Azerbaijan-Russia-Japan, Iran-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Europe, Iran-Azerbaijan-Russia-Ukraine routes.

Regarding illicit drug trafficking, these routes were mentioned last year as well.
