NATO discusses assessment document of Azerbaijan
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) headquarters discussed Thursday the assessment document of the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2015.
During the 28+1 format discussions, Azerbaijan was represented by officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Defense Ministry, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Interior Troops of the Interior Ministry, State Border Service and State Security Service, the Azerbaijani mission to NATO told APA.

During the discussions, NATO member states emphasized that Azerbaijan is a loyal and reliable partner of the Alliance, and highly-assessed its active cooperation and contribution to the current diversified issues on NATO agenda, including Resolute Support Mission, trust funds, Defense Education Enhancement Program, civil emergency planning and emerging security challenges and etc.

The reform of security sector in Azerbaijan, mutual operative coordination of Azerbaijani armed forces with NATO, as well as security issues in the region, including the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict were discussed at the meeting.

Such discussions between Azerbaijan and NATO are held on a regular basis. At present, Azerbaijan is implementing the 4th stage of IPAP for 2015-16.
