Forest fire extinguishing continues in north of Azerbaijan
A fire broke out yesterday in the highlands of the Sheki region of Azerbaijan, and was thought extinguished at 12 p. m. (UTC +4:00) Aug. 29. But due to the strong wind the fire broke out again, and the fire spread to one of the areas of the forest village of Kish, states the report of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Aug. 29.

The report notes that the regional office of the Ministry and the State Fire Service Emergency were engaged in the fire-fighting.

Currently work to extinguish the fire continues.

The city of Sheki is located 347 kilometers from Baku in the north of Azerbaijan
