Details of National Security Ministry`s former employee suicide revealed

Former deputy chief of the Anti-terrorist Center of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of National Security Ilgar Aliyev committed suicide, using bed linen in Baku detention facility on Sunday, the Public Relations Department of the Penitentiary Service of the Justice Ministry of Azerbaijan told.

Ilgar Aliyev was kept in double cell. When his cell mate had gone to talk on the phone, he committed suicide, using bed linen.

Despite the implementation of measures, Ilgar Aliyev died. Investigating authorities, Aliyev`s relatives and his lawyer were immediately notified due to death.

The criminal case opened under the article 125 of the Criminal Code, the investigation is underway.
