Underwater earthquake jolts Caspian Sea
An underwater earthquake hit the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, the Republican Seismological Service Center of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) said Sept. 2.

Reportedly, the earthquake was recorded at 07:48 local time (UTC/GMT+5 hours) on Sept. 2.

The earthquake`s magnitude was 3.0 on the Richter scale, and its source was at a depth of 29 kilometers.
