The Tariff Council will reconsider regulated prices of medicines in connection with the recent change in the exchange rate of manat, Abbas Aliyev, head of the PR department at the Ministry of Economy and Industry told.
Aliyev noted that medicine prices have been reduced by 2-3 times, even 5-10 times upon the Tariff Council’s decision to regulate medicine prices in the country.

According to Aliyev, medicine prices to be approved even after the new exchange rate of manat will be several times less than previously regulated prices. “The social significance of the project on the regulation of medicine prices still remains on the agenda.”

The Tariff Council has regulated the prices for over 3,500 medicines so far.
