Brokering of the OSCE Minsk Group will continue and Russia will make efforts on its own for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, said Russian foreign ministry spokesperson.
“No progress was achieved in the meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents held in Bern on December 19. However, the parties confirmed that they are interested in continuing to work within the format of the Minsk Group.”
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova made the remarks in the briefing in Moscow, AzVision.az reports.
She said, Russia welcomes high level political dialogue on the settlement of Karabakh conflict through political and diplomatic means. “The co-chairs will continue mediation efforts. Russia will continue to assist the parties in this direction,” she said.
