Armenians in Karabakh think of themselves as Azerbaijani - Bayram Safarov
Deep inside their hearts, the Armenians in Karabakh think of themselves as Azerbaijani citizens but they are unable to utter it out of fear, chairman of the Public "Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh region", head of the Shusha district executive authority Bayram Safarov told reporters on Dec.28.
Safarov said the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh and the Armenian side always seek to have a meeting but the current Armenian government does not provide necessary conditions for them to meet.

Safarov notes, ordinary Armenians know that if they become Azerbaijani citizens, they will be given all kind of concessions and live in prosperity like other ethnic minorities.

“To avoid getting into trouble in such a situation, the Armenian government does not create necessary conditions for their meeting. They know that if Armenians should meet with us and see the blissful life in Azerbaijan, they will start change sides,” he said.
