New Year holiday begins in Azerbaijan

New Year holiday begins in Azerbaijan

There will be five non-working days in connection with 31 December – the Solidarity Day of the World Azerbaijanis and the New Year.

31 December has been declared the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and 1-2 January New Year holidays.

Since 2 January 2016 falls on Saturday, the working and non-working days will be replaced according to the Labor Code. Therefore, 4 January will be a non-working day.

So five consecutive days – 31 December and 1-4 January – will be days off in Azerbaijan.
