Ukraine carries out freight transportation to Iran through Azerbaijan

Ukraine carries out freight transportation to Iran through Azerbaijan

Ukraine may carry out freight transportation to Iran through Azerbaijan, chairman of Azerbaijan Railways Javid Gurbanov said.

“Ukraine is interested in freightage transportation to Iran. Because Iran’s grain production is at low level and it imports grain from Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Ukraine intends to transport the products about 2-3 mln tonnes through Georgia and Azerbaijan. Moreover, Ukraine intends to transport energy carriers from Iran through Azerbaijan”, Gurbanov said.
