The ministry is classifying hotels to verify the compliance of services rendered in hotels and hotel-type facilities with the relevant requirements and standards, the ministry told.
This classification is conducted in accordance with the state standard “Classification of hotels and hotel-type facilities, provision star categories and introduction of criteria when evaluating” - AZS 745-2012 developed basing on "HotelStars Criteria 2010-2014" that is applied in many European countries.
The Ministry granted 5 star certificate to “JW Marriott Absheron Baku”, “Kempinski Hotel Badamdar Baku”, “Caspian Sea Resort”, 4 star certificate to “Şah" "Alpine Inn", "Emerald", “Viləş Palace”, 3 star certificate to “Austin Butik”, “Arena” and 2 star certificate to "Rigs" hotel.
