Mass Road Accident in Germany Kills at Least 1 Person, Injures 66
At least one person died, 66 others sustained injuries in a mass road accident in the German city of Paderborn in eastern North Rhine-Westphalia, local media reported Friday, citing police.
A total of 24 cars collided on a Federal Motorway 33, the Stuttgarter Nachrichten newspaper said, adding that the victim of the motor vehicle collision was a 79-year-old man.

According to the preliminary investigation data, the cause of the accident was a sudden dense fog which resulted in "almost zero" visibility. The traffic on the motorway was blocked from 1:00 a.m. local time (00:00 GMT) up to the Friday morning.
