21 Armenian soldiers killed, 20 more wounded in December - Defense Minister
Armenian armed forces violated the ceasefire regime a total of 817 times during December 2015, AzVision.az reports.

The Armenians made numerous sabotage attempts in a variety of directions along the contact line of troops both at the Azerbaijan-Armenia border and in occupied territories, using 60mm- and 82mm-mortar launchers and large-caliber machine guns, according to the Defense Ministry. Each attempt made by the enemy was successfully repelled Azerbaijani armed forces.

As usual, Aghdam district comes first in terms of the number of ceasefire violations during December. The ceasefire was shattered a total of 260 times in the Aghdam direction. Fuzuli district comes second (150 times).

Also during December 2014, three Armenians drones were spotted and downed by the Azerbaijani Air Defense Troops.

In the Karabakh front, the ceasefire regime was violated 86 times in Jabrayil district, 78 times in Tertet district, and 62 times in Khojavand district.

Along the Azerbaijan-Army border, the ceasefire regime was violated 80 times in Goranboy district, 46 times in Gazakh district, 18 times in Gedebey district, 15 times in Tovuz, 17 times in Goygol district, 5 times in Aghstafa district.

The enemy also targeted Azerbaijani residential areas with mortar launchers and large-caliber machine guns.

During the month, the Armenian side suffered tens of casualties and losses of several vehicles as the Azerbaijani army struck enemy positions with mortar fire. The strikes inflicted on enemy shelters with 120mm-mortar launchers, manpower within a radius of 20 meters and 50 meters in an open area were eliminated. Overall 21 Armenian soldiers were killed and 20 more wounded in December.

One Azerbaijani officer and three soldiers were martyred in front line clashes with Armenian armed forces in December.

Note, Armenia had violated the ceasefire regime 773 times in November.
