Azerbaijani, Serbian FMs hold meeting in Baku
“There’s deep and extensive cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia.

The foreign ministries of the two countries hold consultations. We support each other at all international organizations”, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov following the meeting with his Serbian counterpart Ivitsa Dachich, who is on a visit to Baku.

In his speech during a joint press conference, the minister said the two countries support each other’s territorial integrity: “Next year, Serbia will chair the OSCE. We discussed this issue as well. We are investing in Serbia. Serbia is interested to transport Azerbaijani oil to the Balkans. There will be a bilateral business forum and a meeting of the joint commission”.

Ivitsa Dachich said it was his second visit to Azerbaijan: “Azerbaijan and Serbia have friendly relations. Relations on strategic cooperation between the two countries will develop. There’s political will, but our economic cooperation has not developed that much and we ought to do all we can to reach that development. We need to discuss new projects. In this respect, it’s necessary to hold a business forum between Azerbaijan and Serbia”
