SOCAR to build one more port in Petkim peninsula
SOCAR will build one more port in the Petkim peninsula, head of PR Department at Petkim Petrochemical Holding Co Memduh Taslicali told.
According to him, docks will be constructed in the forest area allocated by Turkish Ministry of Ecology and Urban-planning to Petkim Petrochemical Holding Co. in order to bring crude oil to STAR Refinery and transportation of finished products by sea: “The previous laws did not allow to construct docks there as it was a coast. However, construction of docks has already been commenced. These docks will facilitate production in the refinery and sending to consumers”.

He noted that the new port will be an independent body under the STAR Refinery: “It will be located in 500 m west of Petlim and be able to receive 3 ships”.

Ha added that the works in STAR Refinery, as well as port and Petkim peninsula are being carried out under the schedule.
