"Two men, two boys and one girl were killed on the spot and nine others were badly injured in the crash," he told Xinhua via telephone, adding that all the victims were on board of the minibus.
The oil tanker was blamed for the accident, as its driver escaped the scene soon after the tragic crash, the official added.
Road accidents are a leading cause of death in the Southeast Asian country, killing an average of six people per day. According to a government report, road crashes killed 2,265 people last year, up 5 percent year-on-year.
