In addition to the South Caucasian states, the $5.4 million contract applies to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Moldova. The contract of the European Aviation Safety Agency will be implemented over a period of 4 years, starting in February 2016.
"The contract involves training, dedicated initiatives on safety management and civil aviation administration management, effectively addressing safety findings raised by EASA audits, support for the implementation of existing comprehensive aviation agreements, support for the harmonisation of regulations and working practices with international safety and security standards," AzVision.az reports citing the Aviation Today.

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has received the European Commission`s technical contract to support the sustainable development of civil aviation in accordance with international standards in a number of countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, including Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia.
