An Air Canada passenger aircraft made an emergency landing at the Canadian city of Halifax due to an "acrid odor" in the cockpit, local media reported.
Flight 623, en route to Toronto with 66 passengers on board, returned to Halifax shortly after takeoff as a precautionary measure, the Canadian Star, a news portal, reported Friday.

The airline denied previous media reports of smoke in the cockpit, the media outlet added.
There were no injuries reported in the incident, according to The Star.
