No symptoms of swine flu (AH1N1) were detected in Azerbaijan, Rakif Abdullayev, the director of the Republican Anti-Plague Station under the Azerbaijani Health Ministry, told on Jan.9.
He said so far none has appealed to the station regarding swine flue. “All appeals are mainly associated with seasonal flu.”
According to him, the necessary supply of medications to combat swine flu has already been created.
He added that necessary measures are continuing under the relevant order of Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev.
Some countries neighboring Azerbaijan already afflicted the deadly virus. As a result of swine flue, 33 people died in Iran and 13 in Turkey.
