Azerbaijani president expresses concern over Russia-Turkey, Iran-Saudi tensions
The recent deterioration of relations between Russia and Turkey, which are neighbors of Azerbaijan, is not desirable, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

He made the remarks at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Jan.10 dedicated to the results of socio-economic development in 2015 and objectives for the future.

Azerbaijan is also concerned over the growing tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia, said President Aliyev. “The tension has also an impact on what is happening in the Muslim world.”

As for the results of 2015, the head of state said last year Azerbaijan successfully developed and managed to fulfill all the assigned tasks.

The president went on to add that last year he visited 20 countries and 15 heads of state and government visited Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan will continue to play a stabilizing role in the region and will try to reduce the existing risks, Aliyev noted.
