Officials of Absheron District Education Department are suspected of selling school uniforms worth AZN 20 at AZN 40
Corruption has been revealed in the education system of Azerbaijan.The file submitted by the Ministry of Education regarding the illegal actions of the officials of Absheron District Education Department, was investigated by the Anti-Corruption Department under General Prosecutor’s Office, press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office told.
As there were grounds for suspicion that the officials of Absheron District Education Department, abusing their official powers and giving instructions to the school principals, organized the sale of the school uniforms worth AZN 20 at AZN 40 in the secondary schools functioning in the district. A criminal case has been launched on the fact under the Article #308.2 (abusing official powers) of the Criminal Code.
The investigation is underway.
