New candidate nominated for Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan
Israel’s Haaretz newspaper reported that a new candidate has been nominated for Israel’s ambassador to Azerbaijan and the information was confirmed by Israel’s embassy in the country.

The candidacy of Dan Stav, who previously served as Israel’s ambassador to Nepal, has been nominated for Israel’s new ambassador to Azerbaijan, the country’s embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend.

“The appointment hasn’t been approved and the exact date of the appointment hasn’t been fixed yet. Currently, Rafael Harpaz is the Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan and continues to carry out his duties,” the embassy said.

Harpaz took up his duties as an ambassador to Azerbaijan in 2012.

Israel has also nominated the candidacies of new ambassadors to other countries as well.
