More serious steps should be taken for the development of information and communication sector, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the meeting of the Cabinet dedicated to the results of the socio-economic development in 2015 and objectives for the future.
“It should be a lesson for all institutions. Full transparency should be ensured in this sector and the state should take advantage of it. We have two satellites. But unfortunately sometimes the money goes into the pocket of others. This must end. All revenues should be added to the state budget. At the expense of those revenues information and technology sector will develop in the near future.”
The President said, the state have already granted enough money for development of the above mentioned sector. Inspections show that those money have been used unjustnessly. This is not only squandering, but also a major crime, dishonesty and government betrayal. They are brought to justice for their actions and it should be lesson for others. I am sure that strict controls will prevent recurrence of such cases."
