Tremors felt in Azerbaijan as earthquake hits Iran

Tremors were felt in Azerbaijan

“The earthquake occurred in Iran’s territory bordering Azerbaijan and the tremors were also felt in the Azerbaijani districts of Lankaran, Lerik, Jalilabad and Yardimli,” said Yetirmishli.

According to him, the tremors were very weak so there is no need for carrying out studies or mapping.

“Tremors could be felt in Nagorno-Karabakh,” Yetirmishli added, dismissing Armenian media reports that the earthquake epicenter was in the territory of Azerbaijan.
