Azerbaijani president offers condolences to Turkish counterpart
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has offered condolences to Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the Jan.12 explosion in Istanbul which resulted in human causalities.

“Dear President, we were deeply saddened upon hearing the news on numerous casualties as a result of the explosion in the Sultanahmet Square of Istanbul. We are outraged by this act of terrorism and consider it necessary to fiercely fight against all forms of terrorism,” the president said in his letter.

“On behalf of the Azerbaijani people and on my own, I offer condolences to you, the families and relatives of the dead, the Turkish people and wish the injured a speedy recovery,” said the president’s letter.
