IS member from Russia detained in Turkey
A member of a terrorist group “Islamic State” (aka IS, ISIS or ISIL) has been detained as a result of a special operation in the province of Antalya in southern Turkey.

Russia`s Consulate General in Turkish city of Antalya confirmed that three Russians had been detained over suspected connection to the Islamic State, state news agency RIA reported on Wednesday.

Dogan News Agency reported on Wednesday that Turkish police had detained three Russian nationals following a suicide bomb attack in Istanbul.

In addition, a special operation, in the result of which nine members of the IS were detained, has been carried out January 13 in the province of Izmir in western Turkey.

On Jan.12, an explosion hit Sultanahmet Square in Istanbul. It was reported that a suicide bomber blew himself up near the central mosque when tourists were passing by. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called the blast a terrorist attack carried out by a Syrian citizen, who belongs to a terrorist group “Islamic State” (aka IS, ISIS or ISIL).
