Unity Prayer in Baku

A Friday Prayer was performed in the Heydar Mosque in Baku Jan. 15 as part of the Year of Multiculturalism, declared by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, the AzTV channel reported Jan. 15.

The Unity Prayer was jointly performed by the Muslims belonging to various denominations of Islam, said the report.

Head of the Heydar Mosque Haji Sabir said that the prayer will further increase the authority of Azerbaijan as a center of tolerance.
