Macedonian PM quits to pave way for early polls
Amid months of political turmoil in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski has submitted his resignation to parliament.
The Conservative leader had agreed to early elections during European Union mediation to end a crisis involving allegations against his government of illegal wiretapping.

Gruevski has denied the claims of illegal surveillance and dismissed the accusations against him as a plot to bring him down.
