Answering the question about the probability of resuming trilateral talks between the Azerbaijani, Iranian and Turkish foreign ministers, Ansari said that after the lifting of sanctions, Iran seeks to strengthen cooperation with neighboring and Muslim countries, particularly with Azerbaijan.
“The scope and prospects of our economic cooperation with various countries will be based on the support that these countries provided to Iran during hard times,” the spokesman said, noting that Azerbaijan is one of the countries that supported Iran during difficult days.
Ansari also expressed hope that the development of relations among Caspian littoral countries will lead to a solution to the Caspian Sea’s legal status.
