Customs duty to be abolished
A draft law on amendments to the Law on "Customs Tariff" has been adopted at today
According to amendments, technique, technological equipments and plants imported by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs investing capital in the priority spheres of Azerbaijan’s economy will be exempted from customs duty for seven years since they get the document of promotion of investment from relevant executive body.

Moreover, import of technique, technological equipments and plants by managing organization or operator of industrial or technological parks basing on confirming document of the relevant executive body in order to establish and construct an infrastructure of industrial or technological parks, production spheres, as well as conduct scientific-research and development works will also be exempted from customs duty.

According to the law, import of technique, technological equipments and plants by resident of industrial or technological parks basing on confirming document of the relevant executive body in order to establish and construct an infrastructure of industrial or technological parks, production spheres, as well as conduct scientific-research and development works will be exempted from customs duty or seven years since the date resident’s registration in the industrial or technological parks.
