Azerbaijan takes Russia`s ex-presidential candidate off "black list"
The name of Russian politician has been excluded from the list of “undesirable persons” of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the ministry’s press service told on Jan.19.

Andrei Bogdanov, a Russian politician, Mason, Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Russia and Chairman of the Communist Party of Social Justice, requested Azerbaijan’s foreign ministry to remove his name from the list of undesirable persons, said the press service.

Bogdanov was included to the ministry’s list of undesirable persons for illegally visiting Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenia.

In a letter sent to the foreign ministry, the Russian politician expresses regret over his visit and stressed that he respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

The politician said he was unaware of the consequences of his visit to Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenia.

Bogdanov said his visit in no way served a purpose of recognizing the regime created in Azerbaijan’s occupied territories, and apologized to the people of Azerbaijan.

After the review, Bogdanov’s name was excluded from the list of undesirable persons.
