Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has today visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate the victims of 20 January tragedy, laid carnations on their graves.
The head of state laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame complex, paid tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the Motherland.
Azerbaijani government representatives, parliamentarians, representatives of the diplomatic corps also visited the Alley of Martyrs.
People have been visiting the graves of 20 January martyrs on the occasion of 26th anniversary of 20 January tragedy since morning.
Note that the visit to the Alley of Martyrs will continue till evening. Traffic has been restricted in some streets of Baku in connection with it. A minute silence will be declared in Baku at 12.00 to commemorate the martyrs.
