Georgia joining arms trade treaty
Georgia is joining the UN Arms Trade Treaty. A relevant document for this purpose will be signed in New York, U.S. on Sept. 25.

In an interview with reporters Georgia’s First Deputy Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani said Georgia completed domestic procedures and on Sept. 25 the country will officially join the treaty.

He said the more countries become members to the treaty, the higher is the guarantee to prevent the illegal arms trade.
