Normalization process of banking sector must be accelerated - Aliyev
“Banks failing to meet demands, having shortages can not operate in Azerbaijan’s banking sector. We must normalize the banking sector. This process must be accelerated, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the conference dedicated to outcomes of the second year of implementation of the “State Program on socio-economic development of districts of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2014-2018”.

According to him, the banking sector must provide more loans to real sector of the economy: “I had given instruction to create an industrial zone in every region, but this process is running slowly. This issue must widely be discussed after the conference. Investment flow to the regions is carried out by government and entrepreneurs. The executive powers must be more active now. How many jobs have been created, enterprises have been established and capital has been invested? This will lead to assessment of activity of executive powers”.
