Sahiba Gafarova, a member of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, has been elected as the chairperson of the Committee on migration, refugees and displaced persons, replacing French MP Thierry Mariani in this position.
Note, it’s the first time a member of the Azerbaijani delegation has been elected as committee chairman at PACE. Gafarova will serve in this position for two years.
