Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland.
The meeting took place within the PACE autumn session attended by Minister Mammadyarov regarding Azerbaijan’s Chairmanship of Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the Foreign Ministry’s press service told.
The sides exchanged views on the ongoing negotiations for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe, Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, implementation of the Action Plan for 2014-2016 between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe, as well as processes taking place in the region and around the world.
