The purpose of the visit by the Executive Secretary is to meet with high level officials in the Azerbaijani government on economic matters, the institution’s Strategic Communications and Advocacy Section told.
She`ll be discussing with the officials the broad economic issues affecting countries in Central Asia and the Caucuses as well as how ESCAP can support them in meeting the 2030 development objectives agreed to last September at UN Headquarters.
The executive secretary will be in Azerbaijan for two days (only in Baku) on February 2 and 3.
