Azerbaijan Armed Forces see decline in crime numbers
A number of grave and especially grave crimes committed in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have been uncovered, Azerbaijan
He said the actions taken last year to combate crimes within the Armed Forces and strengthen rules of law all proved successful. 99.6% were disclosed of the crimes recorded in the reporting period.

Compared to 2014, in 2015, crimes against military service within the Armed Forces and other legal armed formations dropped by 7.7%, crimes against military obedience by 20%, offences of breaking rules of relationship among soldiers who are not in subordination of each other by 26.3%, offences of non-compliance with rules of handling weapons and objects highly dangerous to people by 33%, abuse of authority and exceeding limits of authority or non-application of authority by 74%, offences of taking and offering bribe by 71.5%, and fatal incidents by 2.3%.

No cases were recorded of abandoning a military unit and a place of military service without permission. The decrease achieved in crime numbers has largely resulted from the sound and working relations between the Defense Ministry, the State Border Service, the Internal Troops, and military prosecuting agenciesmilitary structures as well as a number of events held during the year.

Nevertheless, some types of crimes have slightly increased last year, Valiyev added.
