52 religious communities registered in Azerbaijan in 2015
As many as 52 religious communities were registered in Azerbaijan in 2015, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli said.
He made the remarks during a meeting dedicated to the outcomes of 2015 and objectives for the future.

Of them, 49 are Islamic communities and 3 are communities of other religions, said Gurbanli.

Thus, the number of registered religious communities in Azerbaijan reached 644 (620 – Islamic, 15 – Christian, 6 – Jewish, 2- Baha’i and 1 – Krishna).
