Georgian, Kazakh foreign ministries discuss Expo 2017 preparation
Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze received Kazakh First Deputy Foreign Minister Rapil Zhoshybayev Oct. 7.

Zhoshybayev is the Commissioner of the International Specialized Exposition - Expo 2017.

The sides discussed organizational issues of Expo 2017 scheduled for June-September 2017 in Astana, the Georgian foreign ministry told Trend.

The relevant issues of bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan were discussed. The partnership between the countries and the need for their further intensification were highlighted.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of developing the economic cooperation.

On November 22, 2012 Astana was chosen by the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE) as the venue to host EXPO-2017.
